The power companie burns either coal or oil to generate power to recharge your batteries, it is all fossil fuel, the only difference is how you package it in your boat. you can package it in fuel tanks, in coal and run a steamer, or batteries and store fossil fuel electricity in batteries. If you talk nuke power then you got a bigger problem of the waste that they cant get rid of.

No wonder this site gets spammed! Here a guy came looking for a little information or relavant discussion and he gets a comedian. If you lived near where I do, Wash D.C., and saw the state of the Potomac river you'd wonder about alternatives to running a gas/diesel engine. Maybe to you fuel slicks and debris is boating paradise. Happy boating.
