You may get a couple of miles per hour from that and yes it will work. But I've found no better substitute for more horsepower. The cost of a Q or H tower for your KG7 may be around the same price as finding a larger motor all together. Your motor puts out about 16+ hp, what about a 25 with a nice porting job and duel carb setup?
