Thanks for your reply. So you say, 10mm at least for bottom planking would be better, and gain in weight is not too big.
I will use Okoume marine grade plywood. Not too expensive. Would like to have plywood with a nice Sapeli Veneer, but costs 3 times more than the Okoume...
Maybe i do it like Dominik Papas and use 6mm Plywood with 2mm Veneer on it. Makes a lot of work though :-)
