Have you taken a core sample of the foam to verify that it's water-logged? If not, then I'd just tilt it up as bow-high as possible on the trailer and let it drain. I wouldn't tackle that job if it wasn't necessary!

Just last week I answered a post about a boat that "porpoises". Old fiberglass boats have wooden floor stringers which tend to rot out in only a few years. The floor itself is also plywood which develops soft spots. The stringers and floor are actually part of the strength of the boat, so it's a serious problem.
