I have used D.Fir A-B marine ply in all of my projects to date, but I'm looking at building a small monoplane called a minimost. This boat is similar to Glen-l's XP-8. I would like to save a little money on this one. Menards sells a plywood called "Baltic Birch 6.5mm 5 ply exterior glue A-B grade". This stuff looks darn good, no voids or knots. Does anyone have any thoughts on this one? Exterior rated glue, "looks" like marine grade, 5 plys or layers, 1/2 the price, is this to good of a deal?
