Hi Steve....Congratulations on the completion of your boat. I hope you are having a good time out on the water. It is always a special moment when you finally get to enjoy all those hours of labor. Your post about the poroising is simular to one Dominik had. Listen to what he says cause he fixed his with some small wedges. They are easy and efficient. You could have some small imperfection in the bottom but Dominik can tell you that the cure for the problems doesn't have to be a big difficult long process. Also a small turn fin can be installed on the bottom of the boat about 1/3 of the distance from the back (at the center or keel line) to help with your turning problem. Sometimes with a large turning problem or a heavier boat you will have to install more than one fin. Like the tournament ski boats. These fins will make a big difference and won't disturb the water enough to case a problem with your prop.

: My son and I just completed a Tuffy and have the following problems:
: 1) Propoising - we're using a 50HP Johnson, and I don't think it trims down far enough. Also, the engine height may be too high. Can height affect porposing? What is the correct engine height?
: 2) The boat "slides" when turned. I'm thinking about adding an external keel over the winter. Is this the best method to control the slide, or should I consider something different?
