Mark: Just finished my Squirt. It's in the "Customer Photo" section. Has a 1995 15hp Johnson on it with a performance prop. With two adults aboard, 20 was a snap. With one, it topped out at 26. That close to the water and 20-plus seems like a hundred.
Good luck with the project. Email if you have questions.

: hello to all here,
: I have a question regarding building a squirt. First off i have some boat woodworking experience, about 2 years ago i restored a 8' pram that was completely full of dry rot (not that that is much of a project but, it's got me started). well the boat building bug has hit again and i like the looks of the squirt. I have yet to purchase the plans but, plan on doing that shortly. For right now i have one question, besides being open to any suggestions anyone would like to give in advance, i have a early 1990's 15 horse evenrude motor. It is currently a long shaft but, can change it to a short shaft. My main question is this motor to big for a squirt or will it work fine? i've seen a few pictures with a 15 on them. I'm wondering how they will perform. How fast will they go? I look forward to your responses. thanks in advance
