To All Boaters,

I'm in the middle constructing a "Vigilant" (from GLEN-L Design). The boat design data : LOA : 42' LWL : 38'6" Beam : 15'3" Depth : 4'6" Type : Semi Displacement.
Boat Task: Working Boat & Commercial Fishing Boat.
The Hull's Frame is 2" x 6" lumber. Lumber type: "KAPOR" (Malaysian & Tropical Hardwood). From past experience with KAPOR (for Scaffolding work) it's contain a Wood Oil. The Malaysian hate to use this wood for house construction due to it sensitive to external weather, easy to concave & convex (expended reaction).

My question is: Base from the data above, is it wise to Fiber Glassing the FRAMES, instead encapsulating and Saturating? If Fiber Glassing, how to cure the Expansion reaction from the Lumber?

Thank you very much in advance, thank you

Haji
