Dimples (slight indents) can be filled with more epoxy resin.
Pimples (slight epoxy filled bumps) can be scraped or sanded flush. If you cut into the glass, apply more epoxy over than area and feather it out, otherwise the weave will show through the varnish.
If the Pimples are hollow, pop off the to an dab in epoxy or squirt with a small syringe. Then scrape / sand flush.
Final sanding of the epoxy prior to varnishing needs to be nearly "full scratch" to provide a smooth substrate for the high gloss varnish.
