I built my first boat last spring and it turned out pretty good. The wood is the costly part. i built mine in my small garage, it isn't a huge boat so it makes a good project for someone with not too much space. The hardest part is getting a form together to build the boat on. Once you have that up and th angles correct etc you are away. Have fun Michael
