Captain George Orwell / Texas Dory Boats sells plans for a Carolina Dory Skiff very similar to Sweet Caroline except that it is fully framed. They also have a plan for a sprit rigged emergency sail for that boat. The dory would be steered with an oar over the transom and the rig would only provide downwind locomotion. OK for getting home if you have an on-shore breeze. Texas Dory Boat ads are in the classified ad sections of Wooden Boat and Boat Builder magazines.
