I BUILT A TNT WHEN I WAS 15..PUT A 65 HP. ON IT ..AND HAVE BEEN JUMPING WAVES EVER SINCE..NOW I WILL BUILD A TUFFY BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN AND WILL PUT A 75 HP.. IAN IF I BUILD THE SQUIRT I WOULD PUT A 40 HP. TO MAKE IT INTERESTING..I SOLD SEVERAL 14' GLAS BOATS WHICH I BUILT TO HANDLE 140 HP. AND 100 HP. WHAT HAPPENS WITH OVERPOWERING IS THIS..THE SLIGHTEST THROTTLE MOVEMENT MAKES THE BOAT RESPOND...IMPROPER THROTTLE CONTROL WILL PUT YOU IN THE HOSPITAL.. IAN OUT..
: : Thinking of building Squirt. Bought kit several years ago, but haven't started yet. Any suggestions/words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

: Please build the dang boat! :-) At least 3 of us want desperately to know whether it will get on top of the water with two-up & picnic aboard (say, max 350 lbs) with a 10 HP - be the first to find out & tell us! (so we don't build the wrong boat)! If the thing doesn't work out, it's so cute that some tourist will buy it from you and double your $, no? Or is there someone reading this that has actually built and run it that can educate us?
