I have purchased the plans for the V-dory and am hoping to start building it this fall. I would like to raise the deck to make it a self bailing cockpit and would like to hear from anyone who has also done this. Does it make the boat too tender? At what height did you make the deck? Also what kind of power have people used on this boat and what was the speed achieved? Any thoughts or suggestions regarding these questions or construction of the V-dory in general would be appreciated. Thanks.
