We started building our BoJest back in February this year. We are currently at the point where we are planking the bottom. In response to stretching out the design - I called Glen-L and they said that you can stretch or shrink this design by 10%.
We did stretch our frames out by 10% and everything worked out OK. We did our stretching mostly in the mid-boat area - not around the stem. One posting to this forum mentioned using a Kubota for power. I'd be interested in hearing more about that.
We are currently looking at buying a Westerbeke 10Hp 2cyl but the price is scaring us. Any insight on other motors would be appreciated.
I would be interested in corresponding with others who I can share our ups and downs with.
