Would be interested in learning what you powered your
ROUSTABOUT with? I built one back in 1975, if you
can believe that, and we still us it and care for
it. At that time in mid 70's, I found a Volvo I/O
and 289 Ford Mustang V-8 engine for her. It fits rather
well, a tag heavy in rear end until one gets her
going. It will pull 3 skiiers out of water with
relative ease, and I've had her up to lower 50's
with just myself on flat NY lakes! At around 53 or
so, mine feels like there's not much bottom left
in water and I feel a slight side drift - then I
backoff! Everyone of our 5 kids learned to water
skii behine our "blueboat" ROUSTABOUT. Hull,
and original frame kit has held up well. I always
wanted to find someone else who built one!

We're now nearing retirment, and I'm thinking of
converting her into a mini-trawler poor-weather
type boat, for the eastern NC waters and Pamlico
Sound area. I still don't have a windshied on her,
and would be interested in learning where you may
have found one? I'd like tofind a flat glass,
fold-down type from some commercial outfit?

Thanks,

ps - I covered her with fiberglass cloth and
epoxy resin. Gave her "1 coat of epoxy paint"!,
which is now just about worn away. I may soon
convert my "blue boat" into a "green boat".
Family will never forgive me!
