: Thinking of building Squirt. Bought kit several years ago, but haven't started yet. Any suggestions/words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

Recently built Squirt. Very pretty. 1967 Mercury 20 hp. 1960's Merc. controls. New Teleflex steering. No electricals. Easy to turn in seat and pull start. Dash mount kill switch. Still tuning. Fast. Light.(I weigh 135 and barely affect trim. Son weighs 225 and affects it greatly.) Slides badly in turns. Porpoises.(See my message of 12/14/98) With frugal use of materials(anally so, I'm told) I finished it for about $1700. System 3 epoxy, cloth, and water reducible 2-part linear polyurethane with clear coat. Not equipped to provide image. Should be fun once handling problems solved.
