Bull's Eye by Mark Chadwick
3 September 2008
It has been a long time since I updated my pictures on the
progress of the Bull's Eye I'm building.
I would love to tell you I'm done but not quite yet. I do
enjoy the building part but other parts of life keep pulling me
away!
Things are going well - continued to place the internal seat
supports and the forward bulkhead - but once again I will be
running out of time as temperatures start to slowly decline. At
least I am complete on the bulk of the epoxy work.
March 2009 Update

Seats completed and fillets in place.

Fillet applied to the stem and the backing block for the bow
ring in place.

I added two additional hatches to the seats for access and
storage. Bags are available for the hatch covers I have
chosen and sit on a lip inside the cover.. This will provide
a waterproof place for keys, wallet, radio as well as
pressure relieve/ventilation when not in use without the
items rolling around under the seats.

Installation of the strong back.

Installation of the gussets.

All fillets and glass in place inside and outside.

Installation of the daggerboard truck was a bit nerve-racking
but went OK. You spend all you time up to here closing up
holes and making it water tight……then you cut a
great big hole in the bottom!!
