Bull's Eye by Mark Chadwick
March 2009 Continued

Glue up of the thwart blank. Set up and sizing.

Hull turned and cloth wetted out.

After the 3rd coat of resin it almost seems a shame to paint
it. I would have need to be much better with the putty
application and my selection of plywood to leave it all
bright!

Resin ground down flat and ready for paint.

Ta Da!

Cannot forget the other bits and pieces! Shaped, sanded and
sealer coat of epoxy applied.

Rudder, dagger board and thwart are all made from 1in strips
of mahogony.

They were all ripped from the same board and re-assembled
with biscuits and every second strip flipped over to try and
avoid warping. It also results in a pleasant herringbone
pattern to the grain.
This brings us up to date. Next steps are to sand flat the
glasswork on the interior of the hull and apply paint. I have
been collecting hardware as I go and have waiting in the garage
the mast, gooseneck, mast top cap (with sheeve) and the mast
step.
I will keep progressing as time allows.
