Sanded flat spot for the fin.
The finished transition joints turned out way better than I
thought they would.
Applying the fiberglass seal coat.
Cant strip at the transom cap/transom junction.
I used the dry method.
Again, using the dry method.
Building up the transom edge to make it crisp again.
This space heater helped speed up cure time between
fiberglass epoxy coats.
Fiberglass is complete. One seal coat, one wet out coat, and
five coats after wetout. I was going to stop at four coats
after wetout but I had some orange peel (i.e. non-smooth
finish that is bumpy like an orange) that I had to sand so I
added another coat.
March, 2011. Primed and waiting for the first coat of paint.
