The Rob Roy as built by
Larry "Rehd" Brown, Fresno, Calif

13. Joint (sides) where they came up into place. They over lapped, and were trimmed to fit with razor saw and then planed. Bricks were there to hold the shape while I worked on the sides. 11/10

14. Shows boat shaping up before the side seams were glued at the center 11/10

15. Bottom-Side-Frame joint getting glued/glassed and tightened up to a snug fit. Frame has been sanded round at the edges to eliminate doing it after installed in boat. Several wires broke tightening this joint up and had to be replaced. One layer of 6oz. glass cloth under the side-Frame joint and 2 layers above frame. Frame was glued to bottom planks with resin putty. 11/11

16. Boat as it sits right now, waiting for breasthooks and some seam fillets. 11/12
