The Rob Roy as built by
Larry "Rehd" Brown, Fresno, Calif

21.( 12/02/01 ) Bulkheads cut out and being shaped to stem area. Planed, sanded and beveled to fit as close as possible. All seams sanded and feathered out smooth. Once fitted, I drew a line around where they fit in the stem area. This would serve as a guide as to where to put the putty to seal the bulkhead.

22. ( 12/03/01 ) Glassed the entire inside of the bulkhead area with 6oz. scraps. Coated the underside of the breasthook and inside of the bulkhead with resin. Made a bead of filler and placed it around the perimeter of the bulkhead marks in the hull.

23. Placed the bulkhead in place and spread the fillet/putty around the seams there. Help the top in place with a couple of 2" spring clamps and the bottom in place with a couple of bricks.

24.( 11/25/01 ) Ready to glue/laminate the 4 plywood pieces for the seat. All the tools for small batch glueing as well. Resin, thickened with saw dust spread over seat parts and ready to put together for laminated seat. Seat plywood parts all glued and clamped with 2" spring clamps.
