Fig 46: The decking is applied so that the transition joint comes at approximately Frame 1. Observe that the aft portion is butt-joining the side planking, while the forwrd portion forms a lap-joint that is overhanging for later trimming.

Fig 48: Trimming the decking overhand is done with a plane. Sheer trim options are shown in the plans.
Fig 49: The coaming is fitted to the lower edge of the carling, glued and fastened in place. This decorative cover piece extends from the athwartship motorwell beam to Frame 5 deck beam.
Fig 50: The beam for the cowl is cut to the same crown as the Frame 5 deck beam and fastened in position.
