Fig. 32 - Again, as done when fairing the bottom, the deck area should be checked so that the fairing will enable the decking to mate firmly on all members. Here Don is springing a short length of plywood over the deck beam to check the fairing.
Fig. 33 - Floor battens are installed above the second batten on either side of the keel; a 1/4" plywood web is glued and fastened to the inside of bottom and floor battens. The floor boards will be in three parts with the joints spaced over these longitudinals.
Fig. 34 - The plywood floorboards are notched around each of the frame gussets. The floorboards are put on with the joint over the centerline of the 1" x 2" floor battens.
