Fig 8: The position of the transom is determined by the transom knee being fastened to it and the Frame #1. Note the cross piece on the form that supports the transom knee. The builder is aligning the transom athwartship with the builders level.


Fig 9: The centerboard trunk assembly is fastened in position and the keel sprung in place. The builder is putting in Frame #2, which is in two halves and mounts to either side of the centerboard trunk.


Fig 10: The chine log member is sprung around the framework and the angularity required at each of the frames is marked. The builder is shown sawing the frame notch to the angle required to enable the chine to lie flat rather than to rest on a corner.
