Fig 10: From the faired chine at Frame #5, a line is drawn to the center of the chine where it ends on the stem. The portion above this line is faired for the bottom planking. The portion below this line is faired for the side planking as the builder is illustrating. Very little to nothing will need to be removed for the side planking.
Fig 11: The stem must be beveled to the angle required for both the bottom and side planking.
Fig 12: Considerable fairing is required in the forward sections of the sheer clamp. After fairing, this area will resemble a triangle in shape.
