Fig 16: The first side panel is now installed and faired. Observe the transition point near the forward frame. The bottom and side planking will meet in a butt joint forward of this point and the bottom will lap the side aft of this point.
Fig 17: A small paint roller is used to coat the framework members with glue prior to application of the planking.
Fig 18: The opposite side is fitted in the same way as the first side, lapping the first side at the stem. The area of the side that will butt join to the bottom planking will need to be carefully fitted along the line on the chine, illustrated and described in Fig. 10.
