I think that flat bottom would be tiresome after a few miles. I want a similar idea of a boat, and I decided on a lobster boat in a open cockpit form. I am doing a Double Eagle, with a center console cockpit.
After getting beat up with a flat bottom boat, I opted for a little bit of vee bottom.
: I am interested in building a boat to use in coastal bays and offshore up to 40 miles out. Can anyone make suggestions, and if they built a boat which one and how does it handle under these conditions. I am thinking about the V-Dory using twin 50-75hp outboards.
