Thanks guys for your honest input. I am going to do some test pieces before I make a decision. I meant no disrespect in my second post. Simply, I have done fine wood finishing and love the look a deep varnish, and still being able to veiw the woods details through the clear. If you guys assure me I won't see the 'glass, then I beleive you(I'm still going to test some first :) LOL.
