: I have used epoxy and glass to cover outside areas of my Two-Plus hull. Should I use epoxy inside as well? I am a little afraid that e.g. a minor damage to the bottom would cause moisture to get trapped in the bottom plywood. Causing a potential rot problem. Any longtime experience on this issue?
I found an Australian builder, who built bateau.com's GP-16 RV-like S&G plans. When he completed it - he coated the entire boat with some kind of epoxy-based rot-proof coating. Don't know what they call it? For the life of me I can't imagine any "coating" that will saturate all the way inside any marine plywood to "coat every fiber"! Are we concerned about "water getting into panels", or existing water (?) not getting out after boat is completed? Seems over a few months, all of original moisture, would easily dry out?
