: I've been working on Minuet on and off for about
: a year. Just getting to the bottom planking.
: My goal is to flip the hull onto a trailer this
: fall and launch in the spring. I'm planning to
: coat all of the interior with poxy shield and fill
: with as much 2-part floatation foam as I can squeeze
: in.
: I do have several questions of my own: Have you located
: a source for the centerboard or for the spar
: on the VA Peninsula? Any suggestions on how to make the

: Hi, I am building Minuet and have completed
:I'M COATING THE WHOLE BOAT IN EPOXY AS SUGGESTED
BY GLEN-L (ENCAPSULATION) AS I HAVE DOUBLE DIAG
PLANKED THE HULL ITS SEEMS TO ME THE WAY TO GO....
AS THE BOAT WILL SEE SOME LONG AND ROUGH PASSAGES
I FEEL IT MUST BE AS SOUND AS I CAN BUILD IT.
AS TO THE CENTERBOARD AND SPARS QUESTION.......
AS I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA WE HAVE A VERY GOOD
SELECTION OF ALUMINUM SPARS TO CHOOSE FROM FROM
STOCK....MAST WILL BE ALUMINUM BUT THE BOOM WILL
BE OF HON-MOAG LAMINATED WITH EPOXY AS I DID THE
BOWSPRIT......CENTERBOARD WILL BE OF STEEL AND I
HOPE TO ENCAPSULATE IT IN EITHER EPOXY OR I'M
CHECKING INTO "POWDER COATING"......AT PRESENT
SCHEDULE I SHOULD BE IN THE WATER AROUNG SPRING
1999.......
