I suppose if one built their boat, and fully encapsulated it with epoxy/glass - then painted with "house paint" (ugh - I said it again!), the underlying epoxy base would protect the boat and hull. Sherwin Williams, HD, and Lowes, must love this topic! :)

I would have thot that epoxy-based paints, would work best on epoxied hulls. Sounds like you already made your choice and painted boat. Good luck ......

: I used latex house paint on my entire Console Skiff--inside and out, above and below the waterline. After one year in the water, it has held up very well; no problems whatsoever. It is my understanding that latex paint will adhere to expoxy even better than it will to wood (that from a chemical engineer)!
