Thanks for the pictures! They are very helpful. Did you fix the position of the supporting boards (contacting the boat with carpet on them) or did you allow them to swivel and conform to the angle of the hull section it is supporting?

Also, what kind of plywood did you use? It looks like fir. I am trying to determine which plywood I should use.

: I built a cradle for my CS project that has worked very well for me. It's 8' long (I think - I can't remember exactly) and has pivoting arms to support the fore and aft ends. I put it on locking, swivel casters and that has made it real easy to move around (and in & out of) the garage. I'm new at the photo hosting thing but I put 3 pictures of it on my Yahoo Photos site. Try the link below to access them. If it doesn't work, let me know and I'll email them directly to you. The first picture is a straight-on view from the front. The second is from the front side. The third is a detail of the pivoting arms. In that picture, the small wood block with the orange end is just extra support for the arm.
