I had read the oarlocks report, but had not seen the sources page. I'm getting a little closer to making a decision between a Davis folding lock and a North River.
The nylon set still seems to have some appeal to me, but I'd like to hear from anyone who has actual experience with them.

I'm pretty sure I want side mount. What I don't know is if all side mount sockets have the L shape I'm looking for. I've even seen some nylon sets (that seem to come in a complete package).
