George,

My apologies. That all came out wrong, I wasn't trying to disrespect anyones opinion. Yes, sunlight will eventually cloud the epoxy, or turn it milky colored according to West, System Three, and several well known designers/builders. However, they also state that they have never seen a joint failure because of UV exposure. I know of one builder who has built an extremely nice 21' sailboat in stitch and glue. He has built several kayaks and used them for several seasons with only minor discoloration. So, it seems that there may be differences according to which brand of epoxy is used. The biggest problem I see of a project taking a long time is making sure any blush is cleaned off of every part before it is painted. In a traditional framed boat, it may be difficult to clean everything. But that is not what you guys were discussing, so I'll quit now.

Regards
