In my opinion, nothing out of the ordinary needed. Here's the tools I seem to turn to most often:
Table Saw
Router (for flush trimming & pattern following)
Cordless Drill (pilot holes & driving screws)
Circular Saw
Power Plane, & block plane (for fairing)
Disc grinder (for fairing, & grinding off mistakes)
Random Orbit Sander (finishing, pre-painting,etc.)
