I am interested in building an XP-8 and I am wondering how hard it is to build and what the maximum horsepower is on it. Thanks. I also heard of one guy who built an XP-8 in two weeks! This boat would be for me, a 13 year old, and I would just use it for speeding around a lake at our cottage. I am planning to put a new Mercury Classic 9.9hp engine on it. Is this good or too powerful?
