I am building a "Sculling Skiff", my first shot at Stich-n-glue construction. On my first test run with epoxy filets I tried all of the suggested ways of shaping them but was unhappy with the results. Finally in frustration I tried the bottom edge of a beer bottle. It is perfect - makes a shapely filet of the right depth with beautifully feathered edges.
