Funny, I thought I posted a reply 2 days ago. Here goes again:
Check out West System at http://www.cris.com/~westsys/index.shtml. They have a page on gelcoat repair.
Also check out www.rotdoctor.com. He's mostly into wood preservation, but his Q&A section has a lot on fiberglass boats also.
I've learned that fiberglass boats are prone to rot in the transom, stringers and decks. Doctor Rot covers the inspection/repair process in detail. I'd recommend reading up on it.
