I just purchased a Monaco hull. It's about 90% complete, I still need to add the flooring, interior, dash and spray rails to complete the hull, then add all of the hardware. I am looking for a power plant and info on the installation and size and type of fuel tank. I have most of the major hull components, Deck hardware, steering, rudder shaft, various props, etc. Here are my questions:
Should I go with a front drive or rear drive layout?
What HP rating? RPM?
Is a plastic fuel tank acceptable?
Right or left hand Steering, Does it matter?
Where can I get the Gunnell stainless strips in long lengths?
The previous builder used epoxy over Glass. Can I varnish over the epoxy to get that nice shine?
I have the plans and Glen-L books but they don't address some of these issues unless I'm missing something. Any help would be appreciated
