for what its worth, I've been blowing spuds out of my 4 inch PVC potato gun for years. She's got a six inch expansion chamber and a three foot barrel. I know it'll handle the combustion of igniting everything from hair spray to acetelyne, to rocket that spud to the other side of the interstate..... my 2 cents.
